Indigo scarf

This silk/cotton scarf is handmade and indigo dyed with the itajime technique. This means the fabric is folded in a specific way and clamped between woods. In this scarf I used 6 pieces of wood and took away at the last dip the circle woods so they would become light blue. The scarf has 9 dips in total.
The fabric is of a beautiful sheer silk cotton and feels extremely soft.
The lovely smell of indigo you can still find in this piece but that means also that the scarf can stain blue a bit..just as with dry jeans.
